In order for the system to calculate payroll for the staff, we have to first set up the compensation for the staff

Prerequisites: Set up payroll templates

To set up compensation for the staff follow the below steps:

  • Be at the location, navigate to Manage > Staff

  • Click on the name of the staff, their profile opens up > Go to the compensation page

Under compensation enter the below details:

  • Compensation Type: Enable the applicable compensation details for the staff, Below are options that you can enable

    • Fixed salary (per week or month)

    • Pay per class

    • Pay per course

    • Pay per appointment

Based on the options you have enabled you will be able to select the pay rate for those services

  • Fixed Salary: Select a payroll template applicable for the staff from the dropdown

  • Classes: Select if the same pay rate template is applicable for all class schedules or if each class schedule has a different pay rate

    • All class schedule: If the pay rate is same for all the classes this staff takes select this option and select the applicable payroll template from the dropdown

    • Selected class schedule: If the pay rate is different for some of the classes this staff takes, select this option and select the applicable payroll template for each class schedule

    • Substitutions: Enter the amount that has to be added to the substitute instructor in a case where another instructor is substituting a class for them

  • Courses: Select if the same pay rate template is applicable for all courses or if each course has a different pay rate

    • All courses: If the pay rate is same for all the courses this staff takes then select this option and select the applicable payroll template from the dropdown

    • Selected Courses: If the pay rate is different for each course this staff takes then select this option and select the applicable payroll template for each course

    • Substitutions: Enter the amount that would be added to the substitute instructor in case another instructor is substituting a course session scheduled for them

  • Appointment: Select a payroll template applicable for the staff from the dropdown

Once you selected all the templates, they would be auto-saved to the staff profile and the next payroll report will be calculated based on the pay rates selected here
